Karin & Claudio Zanolari

After completing his apprenticeship as a chef in Engadin and gaining some professional experience in the field, Claudio Zanolari attended the Belvoirpark HF Hotel Management School in Zurich, where he earned his diploma in 1998. In 2000, he returned to Poschiavo to take over management of the Croce Bianca from his parents. Claudio used his newly acquired skills to renovate the hotel, meeting the expectations of guests increasingly focused on comfort, quality service, and the overall atmosphere of their stay. The first renovation works began: new rooms and suites were created, along with a well-maintained garden and a small but cozy wellness area. Claudio and Karin place great importance on bringing their ideas to life.

Karin Zanolari studied in Chur, where she earned her diploma as a primary school teacher. After several years of teaching in Poschiavo, she decided in 2004 to take a new direction and fully commit to the hospitality industry. There, she embraced new challenges that sparked her passion for a completely different career, which she has since pursued with great dedication and enthusiasm.

From 2002 to 2017, the Zanolari family passionately managed the historic Hotel Albrici in the heart of Poschiavo, along with the Hotel Croce Bianca.

Karin and Claudio got married in 2006, and their family grew with the birth of Raffaele in 2014 and Matteo in 2016.

At the end of 2017, after many years of management, the Zanolari family stepped down from running the historic Hotel Albrici to devote more time to their family life.
